2014-07-15: OMI 10 years in orbit

On 15 July 2014 we celebrated at KNMI the 10-th anniversary of OMI, the Ozone Monitoring Instrument.
Ten years ago, OMI was launched on NASA's Aura satellite. Being designed for 5 years, OMI is still functioning well and is delivery high quality science data. OMI operations and data processing will continue for the coming years, and we hope that OMI will have a long overlap with its successor, TROPOMI. TROPOMI is currently being prepared for preflight calibration and will be launched in early 2016.

In the presentations a brief overview of 10 years of OMI operations and scientific highlights is given.
